About GratitudeJournal
GratitudeJournal is a small set of free wellbeing tools for people who want a gratitude practice that sticks — and the trackers that make the habit visible. You write; your browser does the rest.
How it works
Every tool on this site is a client-side program: all streak math, heatmaps, completion scores, prompt sequences and PDF generation run as JavaScript in your browser. There is no server that receives anything, no account to create, and nothing stored between visits except what you explicitly keep (your entries live in your browser's own storage). Every tool runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded, no accounts, no tracking.
Why a gratitude journal?
The "three good things" structure — one good thing, why it mattered, who was there — is one of the most-studied exercises in positive psychology: small enough to keep, specific enough to work. The streak, calendar and on-this-day views exist because the hardest part of journaling is not the writing, it's the returning.
Free, forever
Every tool is free with no sign-up, and the printable pages are free to generate as often as you like. Subscription journaling apps run $30–60 a year; our answer is simpler — your journal lives on your device, so there is nothing to bill you for.
