About MoneyTools

MoneyTools is a small set of free money tools for people who want a budget that sticks — and the trackers that keep it honest. You type the numbers; your browser does the rest.

How it works

Every tool on this site is a client-side program: all envelope math, category rollups, subscription normalization, debt schedules and PDF generation run as JavaScript in your browser. There is no server that receives anything, no account to create, and nothing stored between visits except what you explicitly keep (your entries live in your browser's own storage). Every tool runs locally in your browser — no accounts, no bank linking, nothing uploaded.

No bank linking, ever

Budgeting apps that aggregate your bank accounts ask for a lot of trust and a lot of money — typically $95–109 a year. MoneyTools is the opposite bet: you enter what you know, the tools do the arithmetic, and your data never leaves the device. That trade also keeps this site free.

A planning aid, not financial advice

These tools do arithmetic — they don't know your circumstances. Nothing here is financial, tax or investment advice, and no tool on this site recommends specific products or investments. For decisions with real stakes (consolidation, retirement, taxes), talk to a qualified professional.
